The Honda Foundation

Honda Foundation has been dedicated to the advancement of ecotechnology since its foundation in 1977. We have been engaged in a variety of innovative activities worldwide, utilizing science and technology for the genuine welfare and peace of mankind through coexistence with ecosystems, making way for pioneering research and innovations, and constantly seeking out new possibilities.

In 2008, Make Your Mark (founded by the four leading UK business membership organizations) and the Kauffman Foundation (the world's largest entrepreneurship foundation based in the US) founded the very first ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week’ and Honda Foundation had the privilege to be the host of Japan of this event. 115 countries have participated in this event since its launch in 2008 and various kinds of entrepreneurial events were held in those countries.

We believe that ‘Entrepreneurship' is crucial to build a sustainable society. However, it is true that comprehensive capacity is required to an entrepreneur. Comprehensive capacity includes not only creativity and originality, but also abilities of business planning and implementation, analysis and research skills, determination, independence, sense of responsibility, aggressiveness, communication skills, judgment, leadership, patience, flexibility and so on. It is not an easy path.

We proudly support the ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week’ with the hope that many young Japanese entrepreneurs come into the world and pump up Japan’s future.

We sincerely hope many of you appreciate and support this event.
